PRONOQ vs Excel and WhatsApp: what changes for a football pool

The difference in one sentence

Excel stores a table and WhatsApp carries the conversation. PRONOQ covers the operational side of a private pool: it records predictions, closes them at each kick-off, calculates points and ranks the standings.

It does not replace the WhatsApp group. The league code or link can be shared there; conversation and decisions stay in the chat while the state of the pool has one common home.

What the spreadsheet keeper no longer has to do

With a manual sheet, someone collects scores, checks whether they arrived on time, enters results and rebuilds the table. In PRONOQ, every participant saves their own predictions and closing is enforced automatically at kick-off.

Results come from sports data providers and may be delayed or corrected. Live points are provisional and are settled from the official result: automating the calculation does not mean pretending an external source is infallible.

Rules, competitions and prizes

A group can play one or several competitions from the catalogue: LaLiga, Champions League, Bundesliga, Premier League, Serie A and Ligue 1. Visible rules determine scoring and tie-breaks.

If a prize is agreed, PRONOQ records the amount and who owes whom. It does not charge, hold or move money; every transfer happens outside the app.

Cost during validation

PRONOQ is free during validation. A future Pro plan is expected to cost €5 per season and competition for the group, but it is not available yet.
